At MedReimagined we believe every community has the right to choose whom they will trust with their healthcare. We help communities create pipelines of the homegrown aspiring medical professionals they need most - so that every community trusts their health providers and believes they can lead the world in health outcomes.

Our Founding Team

Damien Myers MD MPH

Co-Founder, Chief Executive & Medical Officer

“For more than a decade, I’ve taught hundreds of aspiring medical professionals and a half dozen MDs. But we need a better way. There are 55,000 missing Black doctors.”

Damien Myers, MD, MPH left clinical medicine in 2010 to teach and cultivate the next generation of Black health professionals.

In the process he created the MedReimagined curriculum and expanded beyond his all-girls high school to teach an intensive medical school curriculum for middle and high school scholars in Baltimore. He received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Obama in 2016 for his efforts in creating more caring, prosperous communities, and the Elijah Saunders MD Trailblazer Award for his efforts in creating more diversity in the medical pathway. He serves on the board of trustees for the University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation, Associated Black Charities and for The SEED School of Maryland. He has lived in 13 states but has called Baltimore home since 2008.
